French Provincial Inspired Wedding
Stunning floral displays, tall elegant candleholders and traditional easels with original French chalkboards set the backdrop for our French inspired wedding. The custom designed black and white striped wishing well at the entry, gave the guests a hint of the colour theme as they entered the formal dining area where each table also held custom made black and white centrepieces on crisp white tablecloths. In keeping with the formal ambience of the room, large silver urns were overflowing with pink and white roses and baby’s breath, complemented by a large French styled candleholder, French table numbers in silver frames and twinkling tea lights.
The chairs were styled with wide black satin sashes in a simple fold over style with a posy of roses and baby’s breath at the back, mirroring the floral centrepiece arrangements.
Michele did the most amazing job decorating both our ceremony and reception venues.
We had several meetings to discuss the look, feel, and theme of our big day and she was always available for last minute questions or additions. The best part was simply telling Michele “we’re after French Provincial, whatever that means…” and instantly we could see her mind ticking over options, and wow did she deliver! The venue was full to the brim with flowers, table decorations, and tiny touches that only the most eagle-eyed wedding guest would have noticed. One of the highlights was the customised vintage luggage Michele hand painted to match our colour scheme, which we used for our wishing well.We couldn’t recommend Michele enough, she is an absolute superstar.
In order to make the Bridal table a special feature of the room, mirrors were placed along the length of the table which reflected the silver vases and candleholders. Scattered fresh rose petals were then placed on the mirrors to add a romantic touch.
In total contrast to the black and white formal dining area, whilst still keeping the French theme, the outdoor deck was styled as a rustic French winery.
Large iron French urns with grapevines heralded the entrance to the area which was uniquely styled using many of our bespoke French pieces, including an authentic Pupitre (winerack) and a champagne grape box. Overhead, rows of fairy lights lit up the area as well as large marquee lights and seed lights around the perimeter of the fences, giving the area a magical feel. The three day beds were styled using handcrafted French voile curtains and a throw as well as hanging glass tealights.
The piece de resistance in this area was the addition of a selection of rustic pieces from our collection, set up as a photo backdrop. This included an antique ladder, French door, vintage suitcases and a variety of vintage vases and candleholders set up in a stunning display for the couple and their guests to capture special moments.
